Materials:
3 quarts of Minwax fast-drying clear semi-gloss polyurethane. 9.95 each.
5 sheets of 220 grits sandpapers. $4
1 can of mineral spiris $7
1. Sand the lightly.
2. clean up
3. clean with mineral spirits
4. Apply the first coat
5. after a few hours, sand lightly, cleanup then apply the second coat
Next time: after 5-8 years. Apply 1 coat. Buy a good brush.
